Darlene Craft Obituary
July 6, 1937 - September 21, 2021 Darlene Mary Craft, 84, peacefully passed to her rest at home on September 21. She was born July 6, 1937 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Russell and Edana Knapp (deceased). Darlene attended St. Mary High School in Chicago and married July 23, 1955 in Chicago to the love of her life, Kenneth Craft who preceded her in death on January 22, 2015 after 59 years of marriage. Darlene and Kenneth moved to Bridgeview IL., where they lived for 43 yrs. Both Darlene and her husband retired from St. Patricia Parish in Hickory Hills where she was a devoted teacher for many years and he was a maintenance supervisor, both cherished by all. Darlene enjoyed her teaching career and mentoring her students, fishing, and boating with her husband, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends at her lake house in Decatur, MI., during retirement. Darlene is survived by three dearly loved children; Kenneth Craft Jr. (Patricia), Janice Davern (Mark), Denise Land, eight adored grandchildren (one deceased), eleven precious great grandchildren, two dear brothers Russell Knapp (Valerie), Byron 'BJ' Knapp (Rhonda), three beloved nephews, one cherished niece, four treasured great nephews and one great niece. Cremation has taken place and a prayer service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL., with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity

It´s going on 4 years this September mom. Feels like yesterday. Miss you so much. Wish you were here to console me in Marks passing. I admire you so much more know knowing what you went through after dad died. I know see the strength it took for you to carry on every day after dad passed. Love you mom.
