Dear Nancy, We are so sorry and so very sad to hear about Dan's passing. Working with him in the old EJL days will always be happy memories for me. Our deepest condolences to you and your family.

Dear Nancy,
Although it's been almost twenty years since I worked for Dan at Eisaman, Johns, and Laws, I remember so many things about him: Macanudo cigars, yearly rustic camping trips, McRib sandwiches, his cat "G.D.", and most of all, his resounding voice, hearty laugh, and outgoing personality.
Three years ago (during the last week in July) we were driving back home from Wichita. I asked my husband to take a side road through El Dorado. Dan had told me, "there's nothing there", which had peaked my interest. He was right. What a contrast it was to think of him growing up in El Dorado, and then moving on to live and work in downtown Chicago.
Nancy, both you and Dan have been in my thoughts these past few days. I hope support and love from your family and friends are helping you during this difficult time.
With sympathy,
Barbara Benes

Dear Nancy,
I was shocked to hear the news about Dan and extend my sincere condolences. I worked with Dan at EJL and enjoyed his singular presence and good cheer. You always knew when Dan was in a room! He'll be missed.
