Danny has been asleep in Christ for 5 years and it's hard to believe. We miss him very much. I was reflecting on the early Christians view on death and found these passages comforting...Early Christians asked that the departed or "sleepers" as they called them, may receive forgiveness, life, rest and peace and that they may be one with God. To the faithful, the dead are more alive than the living...with this in mind, I offer the following prayers.

For Daniel who has fallen asleep in the hope of rising again, that he may see God face to face...
For the family and friends of Danny, that they may be consoled in their grief by the Lord, who wept at the death of His friend Lazarus.

As the anniversary of Danny's death draws near, I think about him and how he loved to travel. He loved all things international - and right now the Olympics are going on just as they were 4 years ago. It's hard to think about and harder still because the Summer Olympics seems to be a strong reminder of that time.
Dan departed this world for THE WORLD - a much better one than we can imagine - and he's in it right now - of that I have no doubt. But not having him with us is still felt very keenly by his family members and he is missed by all who loved him dearly. Danny , its been two years since you went to be with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Your brother Jason loves and misses you deeply and everything he does is in your honor especially with the band . Maria misses you also very much her life will never be the same with out you .So does your Mama and grandma Laschober and all your relatives and friends . I pray for Maria and for our family along with the Russo family.The one thing that gives me comfort and peace is that the Lord Jesus promised us is that who ever shall believe in him shall have eternal life in paradise and I know that you did Danny . You ran a little faster than the rest of us so you got to heave before we did so now you must wait as we come one by one .The first was Grandma Starr. We do not know who will be next.Danny thoughts of you occupy my mind everyday of my life and also will not be complete till I see you face to face in heaven .
