Carol, my prayers are with you and your family as you mourn the loss of your brother. Knowing how he touched the lives of so many bringing grace and guidance and God's message must bring you comfort. I especially appreciate his participation at Bob's funeral. It meant so much to my family. May their reunion be filled with their laughter.

Fr. Dan was a wonderful, loving, and compassionate priest. He was the catalyst in my life for learning how to pray the rosary and deveolp a devotion to our Blessed Mother. I will be eternally grateful to him for the impact he has made on my life and the lives of those that cross my daily path. I will continue to pray for him and for all priests to exemplify the love he shared with the world.
In His Strength,

I had the honor to work with Dan during the summer of 1984 in Beaverville,Martinton and L'Erable,Illinois. He is one of the reasons that I am a priest today. There was nothing he wouldn't do for you. He came to Milwaukee in 1988 and vested me in my ordination as a transitional deacon. He played an important part of my life. I will always remember him fondly and will be remembered in my Masses and prayers.

Fr. Dan not only Married Cliff & I in 1991, but he instructed Cliff through the RCIA program and administered all the sacrements, Baptisim, Confirmation and First Communion. We used to go out to dinner frequently and listen to some of his stories. We will miss him and his homilies. He was a wonderful friend........

Father Dan brought much peace, comfort, humor and sweetness to those of us retreating at Villa Desiderata. He has undoubtedly brought much pleasure to God and is now resting deservedly beside him. We will smile when thinking of him.

Dear Father Dan's Family and his spiritual family as well:
I am so forever grateful and blessed to have known Father Dan. He was so real and funny and his homilies really touched my heart. It is because of him that I finally started praying the rosary and the graces that came from that moved me to go to confession with Father Dan after 40 years while I was on a women's retreat this past February. Father made me feel so comfortable and I was able to share some really deep feelings and my life has changed immensely. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Father and it will be difficult to go up to the Villa and know he will not be there. Please know I will be praying for Father and his family and I truly know he is home.
Love, Myra Naebig

To Father Dan's family,
My prayers and thoughts are with you all in the great loss of a true friend. Father Dan was a blessing to so many people. He was extra special because when he did a service (at the villa) he spared no sense of humor. It was my great privilege and honor to have been a gift bearer (alter girl) at one of his last services. Our time together was not in quantity but it was such in quality that I will always remember and be glad for Father Dan. He will surely be missed. The joy he must now know...

Dan was my cousin and even though we did not see much of each other we shared fond memories of our youth and the joys of family. Three years ago we had a family reunion at my home and Dan offered a Mass in celebration of this event. His mass and ideas became the highlight of the event and are some of the most talked about memories. We all thank him and his efforts will keep family values going.

We we're blest to have known Father Dan as a Priest, Friend and Mentor. It was with incredible joy that he baptised all seven of our children. It was in the true presense of the spirit that we were able to serve on the R.C.I.A. Team at Saint Viators (which he founded) with him. Knowing him, his incredible ability to share his faith, and enjoying his laugh and joy for life both here and hereafter makes his loss both sad and wonderful. We know he will always be with us both in spirit and in the countless souls he has touched, saved and nourished. God Bless you always Father Dan.

I came from Texas to Illinois to share, renew memories and love at our 55th reunion. Father Dan's Mass gave us such great joy and hope. Each of us I am sure have his words "Be Happy" engraved in our minds and hearts. We shall never forget this wonderful classmate. He gave us so much.

Dear family and friends of Father Danny. This past August the graduating class of 1949 from St. Gregory High School in Chicago celebrated our 55th reunion. Danny said Mass for us at the hotel. For all of us it was fitting to be together for the Feast of the Assumption. In Father Danny's sermon he told us that we classmates are at a time in our lives when we don't know how long we have left on earth but for however long make the most of it and BE HAPPY. We all sang "Immaculate Mary" and felt renewed in spirit. Danny was a man full of faith and we 49ers are blest for having had him bid us adieu in such a wonderful way.
