To Pat, Mary, Susan and the Hanrahan family. In 1975 and 1976, I had the good fortune of working with Dan O’Connor at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. We enjoyed a great association with the judges and fellow law clerks at the court. Dan was our nerf ball shooting champion with the highest daily score in games of best of 15. I remember driving through the night to attend a Georgetown basketball game in West Virginia. I received a “We Are DePaul” t-shirt to make sure that I cheered for the Blue Demons when they were playing in the NCAA tournament in Salt Lake City. I enjoyed touching base with Dan when travel would take me through Chicago.
Dan was a valued friend and colleague. Rest In Peace. Judge Royal Hansen.

Pat, "mom", Susan and Mary---
We send our love and prayers to each of you at this time. Dan was a special man and will be missed. He is at peace now and pain free. No one will do a better job at feeding the animals in heaven. We grieve with you and pray for your healing and peace.
Lovingly,
Your friends,
Jeff Hanrahan

Uncle Danny was a great man. When I was a kid, he took me and my brothers Jean and Brian to many Cubs and Sox baseball games, swimming in Lake Michigan at night, and numerous scary movies and engaged us in many chess games. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife (Aunt Pat) and my cousins Mary and Susan.
