My Dear McMahon Ohana:
The passing of your Dad is most bittersweet, indeed. We all know how anxious he was to return to your Mom's side after her passing, but of course, the loss we feel is not easily consoled. I send to you my most sincere condolences and blessings for comfort - I truly share in your loss. Your family has always been so gracious and kind to me - I was always made to feel like one of the clan (which I have the dishwater hands as proof of my kinship) and my hanai folks, Dan & Mary, were intricate in making sure that Brian's wrath and Susan's "groundings" were perceived as a sign of loving acceptance into your wonderful family (yes Susan, I am still affected by being grounded by you circa 1975 - teehee). I miss you all so much and wish I could be there to give you all a huge embrace. Your family has been through alot these past couple of years and I want you all to know that despite the distance between us, I shall always be right by your side as another fortunate product of the phenomenal McMahon legacy.
Reading through all of these messages I feel so very proud to have been a part of your lives and in the company of such divine and caring people. God's Blessings to you - Aloha mai'e,
Val

To the McMahon Family,

Your dad was my freshman year English teacher at LT back in 1980. Not only did he make the learning experience in his class fun, he personally encouraged me to go up to the Honors level for English. I followed his advice and wound up having a successful career in LT's advanced English classes. I am now helping pass on some of that knowledge to my own son, who is a freshman at LT in Honors English.

I am sorry about the passing of your father. May you know that he positively influenced many of his students.

Kind regards,
Elizabeth (Walsh) Slezak

The McMahon Clan,
You are all fortunate beyond words to have Dan in your lives. Having taught at LT with Dan for over 25 years, I have heard many stories about many of you. Since every other comment out of Dan's mouth began, "Well, Mary said..." I also know what a wonderful pair they made. Whether talking in the school cafeteria or on the golf course, Dan and I had more laughs and fun than should be legal in any state. Since I moved to another state, I've spoken well of him often and miss him often. Dan McMahon stories abound.
Count your blessings for having Dan in your lives and remember to share a few laughs as you recall his inimitable ways.

One of the first weddings I ever attended (I was 10)was the marriage of your mom and dad. Your mom was the the most beautiful bride I ever saw and your dad the most handsome groom. They were always one of my favorite couples. I know they are happy to be together again. Danny was very special. I remember his laugh so well. Our deepest sympathy to all of you.

Danny you were a very Special Man. You had the gift of love, laughter, honor and integrity. You were one of my favorites and always set a great example for Family and Friends. I know your smile will keep your family warm and many stories will be told at McMahon gatherings. You are now at Peace. You will be missed dearly by all who came in contact with you.
