When i think of u which is often i only see and remember Happy tthoughts....Like when u were a Tot running around with David and Alex being Naughty and when i would yell at u and you would look down with those big brown eyes and say i'm sorry Titi won't do it again ....Will always see u as my baby nephew. ...Lots of warm thoughts and Love...RIP

Still missin you everyday brother, Not a day goes by that you arent on my mind. I miss our all night talks, about our families and our plans for when we got home, no matter what you are always with me

It was that time of year yesterday. So far I have been able to keep the jager bomb tradition alive. This day will never get any easier, one day I'll actually deal with the emotions that come along with it. Love ya bud.

Daniel,
G-d chose to live in your heart. He was always crazy about your every second while you were here with us. He loved you so much that He sent for you sunrise every morning for 8,149 days of your life. Every spring He sent flowers and in autumn He showed-off the splendor of colors on trees. He gave you rest on days you did not ask.

One thing I, your uncle, forgot to share is that G-d didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and Jesus, the only light, for the way.

Whenever you wanted to talk, He listened. When you cried, He hugged you. When you thought no one care, He was there. Every good dream you had, He will fulfill according to His perfect will. Daniel, He could have lived anywhere else but He chose your heart.

You'll be miss greatly and I hope, since you are with Him now, that G-d will chose to live in the hearts of all your family.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to our Brother-in-Arms PFC. Daniel J. Rivera. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Dan. And to Dan it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while deployed with the U.S. Army in Iraq. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Dan, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
