Fagan, Daniel Holocaust Survivor, beloved husband for 56 years of the late Bernice nee Hollander; loving father of Joseph (Iris) and Dr. Leonard (Esther) Fagan and Dr. Tammy (Dr. Edward) Kaplan; adored Zayde of Steve (Nicole), Jeff, Avi, Josh, Elliot and Aliza Fagan, Michael, Michelle and Benjamin Kaplan; proud great grandfather of Zachary and Neeli Fagan. Daniel was preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers who perished during the Holocaust. Service Thursday, 1 p.m., at Congregation Kesser Maariv, 4341 W. Golf Rd., Skokie. Interment Waldheim Cemetery, Forest Park. Donations may be made to Magen David Adom, 3175 Commerical, Northbrook, IL, 60062, tele (847) 509-9802. My deepest sympathy to the entire Fagan family. I only met your father once, but I could immediately ascertain that he was a good, kind and loving man. From all of the stories that I have heard about your father from Joseph; I learned that Daniel was a man of honor and dignity with a deep belief and trust in God. He will now again see his departed family as he rests in eternal peace in the loving arms of the Father. God bless you all.

Dearest Ed and Tammy,
My eyes are completely filled with tears as I write this brief note. It has been truly extraordinary for me to know your Father. I have many, many fond memories; none more special then the time while we were davening at Kesser Maariv and he called me "his friend". What an incredible honor.
He leaves a legacy of unyielding Emunah that is now passed on to you and the rest of his beautiful family to hold firmly.
Lisa and I send our deepest condolences to You,Tammy and the entire family.
May Hashem continue to provide all of you with the strength through this time of grief.
May Hashem console Tammy, You and the entire Fagan family among the other mourners for Zion and Jerusalem.
