I met Dan freshman year at Illinois, roomed with him as juniors, and stayed friends with him ever since. We used to call him The Axeman, and I have nothing but fond memories of him. His smile, his laugh, his goofy emails, his late-night phone calls to Les Grobstein on The Score about the Bears, Bulls or White Sox, and in general, his warmth and goodness.
Marcy, I'm so sorry for your loss but so happy to hear that you were able to be with him so much, especially during these most recent, difficult times.
I'll miss you, Axeman.

I was Dannys occupational therapist at RIC about 9 years ago. Danny taught me a lot about strength of the human spirit. Some of my favorite memories of working at the hospital were with him, overcoming challenges and meeting goals on the daily. Sending prayers that he may Rest In Peace and that God comfort his loved ones during this time. Danny- you were something special and you wont be forgotten.

Dan was a good friend of mine at New Trier West High School. I remember the last time I saw him, outside the LAS building, in 1978, he in the powder blue tux and me as well. Unfortunately life got in the way and I lost touch with him but never forgot him He was a good, caring, kind hearted and benevolent individual who shall forever be remembered and is memory recalled with fondness. My family and I wish him eternal peace and send our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
