DAISY MIRIAM (HYKKO) CLAWSON
December 15, 1913 ~ October 10, 2014

Daisy Miriam Clawson, 100, a Clark County resident since 1950, died Oct. 10, 2014, in Battle Ground, WA. She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in International Falls, MN.
Mrs. Clawson was a member of the Eagles in the 1940's where she was active on the ladies drill team and entertainments for the WW II veterans in Walla Walla, WA. She was a member of the Henry Wentworth Chapter of the Eastern Star in Vancouver, WA for many years and acted as Worthy Matron in 1994.
Daisy enjoyed traveling, attending her nephew's wedding in Finland in 1990 as well as many cruises. She also enjoyed reading, playing pinochle, gardening, quilting, television, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia L. Fry of Battle Ground, WA; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Scott A. Clawson in 2000; her sister, Mamie V. McMullen in 2000; and her son, Walter S. Clawson in 2014.
A funeral will begin at 3:00 p.m., Oct. 15 at Evergreen Memorial Garden Funeral Chapel, followed by burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The casket will be open 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Oct. 14 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge, 2500 NE 78th St., Vancouver, WA 98665.
