It saddens me to know that one of my dear sisters has gone on before me. Cynthia was not a blood sister to me, but I was a part of her family. We sang together as the Whitfield Singers for many years. I am sorry that I can't attend her homegoing services, but I want Harvey Jr and Donavan to know that God Makes no mistakes. Your mother's
purpose was fullfilled here on earth and now she is gone to receive
her heavenly reward. To Alphonsa,Helen,Ronnie and Brenda may
you find Peace in knowing that you will see her again on the other side. May God bless each of you.

Kim and I would like to extend our sincere condolence to the family. I worked with Cynthia for years at the Smithfield Packing Plant and considered her a friend. May the grace of God comfort you in your hour of bereavement.

My God is a very gracious. Know that when he call his angel home he make no mistake. I met Cynthia years ago through Brenda and found her to be a lovely person. Remember that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Family look to the hill whence cometh your help for all your strength and help come for the most high.
Just remember that The Lord said: I am thy God: I will strengthen thee...I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteouness.

My prayers are with the family during this sorrowful time. I am a classmate of Cynthia's and recently heard of her illness and now her passing. You are in my prayers. Remember God's comforting arms are outreached to you, just lean on Him.

To the Whitfield Family:
I can feel a part of your lost. Cynthia was a wonderful outgoing person and didn't mind speaking her mind. Our families came a long way together through our parents, the late Rev. & Mrs. Whitfield and the late James O. Turner and Elsie Turner of Smithfield through their special friendship so I feel as if we are family even though we all are sisters and brothers through Christ who strengethed us. I loved so much hearing Cynthia singing for the Lord. She could sing God's words and make you feel the Lord is right beside all the time. The Whitfield Singers could make an unsaved person saved. Just hearing them sing was what it takes. Cynthia was a very special person and I will miss her so much. In December 2002 we were at OBICI Hospital at the same time having test ran and to hear her say how she has putting everything that was going on with her in God's hand. Then when she came to Brown's AME Church in 2003 for a sing-a-rama and she gave her testimony it was all that it took.
Looking at it this way she is only gone in body not spirit. Her spirit will never be gone or forgotten.
Remember she is in a better place and will never feel any more pain or hurt and that is what we all want for the ones we loved sincerely.
God Bless
