Cynthia Gillum Obituary

Lucasville Cynthia "Cindy" June Gillum, 52, of Lucasville, Ohio passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 at Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly. She was born April 24, 1972 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Thomas A. Taylor and Stephanie June Sapp Taylor of Jasper, Ohio. On July 19, 2001 she was united in marriage to Kevin Gillum who survives. Also surviving are her children, Cody Frederick of McDermott, Ohio, Hayley (Daniel) Gillum Case of Dublin, Ohio, Jessy Gillum of Jackson, Ohio and Kaleb Gillum of Lucasville; a brother, Thomas (Ann) Taylor, Jr. of Waverly; and grandchildren, Jax, Zalie and Braxton; also survived by many loving aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Goldie Sapp; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Donna Taylor; father-in-law, Floyd Gillum and mother in law, Beverly Johnson.

Cynthia was a graduate of Piketon High School and also a 2015 graduate of Rio Grande Nursing School. She was currently employed at NIC Global in Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Scott Judge officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
