We just , today, read the article of Curtis's transition and transition it is because Curtis had such tenacity in all of the ventures he undertook, so we know his books on African American literature and education will be a big part o his "life on the other side". I remember that Diane was one of the " babies" of our Saturday afternoon bridge club, with Barbara, Janet, Peggy, Lorraine, Leanna . Only as I type these names that I realize that I am the only left. from that group. Diane, continue to "blow your horn" to to demonstrate the legacy and talent of you very talented family. May GOD be with all of you.

As a former neighbor (6926 S. Bennett) and friend, I'll certainly remember Curtis fondly. Through Curtis I met his family and siblings. Wow, what a lineage!
Thanks for making this world a little better than you found it.

A precious one from us has gone. A voice we loved is stilled, A place vacant in our hearts-Which never can be filled. And after a lonely heartache and many a silent tear, but always a beautiful memory of one we love so dear.
