Cris Weckesser Obituary

Cris Edward Weckesser
Cris Edward Weckesser, 61, of Midland, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, August 12, 2022. Cris was born in Midland on July 8, 1961 to Josephine and Donald Ned Weckesser of Midland. He attended Midland Public Schools, graduating from HH Dow High School, class of 1979.
Cris worked with Weckesser Builders and Mid-Line Supply in his early years, and eventually ran his own home remodeling business. Cris was married to Lori Ager (Isenhart) (June 1991 – 2012), and had 2 sons: Jacob (Jake) Weckesser, 27, of Midland, and Joshua (Josh) Weckesser, 24, of Springhill TN.
Cris enjoyed golf, hunting, and fishing with his many friends and large family. He had many construction skills. His laugh and continuous smile were infectious, and he was a wonderful story teller. He was generous with his time, and always ready and willing to help out anyone in need of his services; and you could always count on him to volunteer on charitable projects.
Cris is survived by his sons, Jake and Josh; his mother Josephine; his sisters Mary Olivia Inman of Elk Rapids MI, and Lezlee A. (Glen) Brown of Chapel Hill TN; his sister-in-law Shawn Weckesser of Midland; his brothers Greg (Denise) Weckesser of Midland, John (Debra) Weckesser of Franklin TN, Charlie (Sharon) Weckesser of Mascot TN, and Jeff Weckesser of Midland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Ned Weckesser in 2015, his brother (and partner in crime) Will, in 2008, his niece, Grace Weckesser in 2012, and his nephew, Jason Weckesser in 2012. Cris will be sorely missed by all.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022, from Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2500 N West River Road in Sanford, with Fr. Daniel J. Fox OFM Cap. officiating.
Cris' family will receive friends at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street on Wednesday from 5-7 pm, and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the Liturgy.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Michigan Health Foundation, or any health-related charitable organization of the donor's choice.

We are out West and just heard the stunningly sad news. Prayers to the entire Weckesser family. In this monolithic, PC world today, we Just don't have many real characters anymore. The world just lost a one of a kind. RIP WECK

Cris,

The Kellan family is really gonna miss you. I wish we had been in touch more out east but that´s life and I know you understand now. We will see you on the other side. Keep smiling down on your family and friends of this dimension. Lord knows we need it most.
