Dear Cegielski Family,
My heartfelt condolences on your loss. Craig was already a seasoned detective when I arrived at Area Three in the Fall of 1982. For me, he was one of the detectives that epitomized the Violent Crimes Unit of the Detective Division-hardworking, smart, crafty, with a biting sense of humor. May he resit in peace and may you find comfort in his legacy.

RIP and condolences to Craig's family. I will always remember Craig for his quick wit and great humor, and his remarkable skills as a homicide detective in the old Area 3. He was always methodical and persistent in every investigation that he was assigned, and always willing to assist other detectives in their investigations. Craig dressed up for a unit party as the 'Cookie Monster' and that nickname stuck with him for quite awhile. He will truly be missed.

Craig was a great person, a member of the BPAA in Chicago's Clearing district He was extremely funny and I would drive to the old Police Academy every morning. I will miss his humor and friendship, Rest in Peaceqq Craig I will pray for you every day.
