Mr. Kangles was an outstanding lawyer to my family starting with my mother who knew him from the old neighborhood and then to her kids who requested his legal assistance. The legal profession will miss a great role model.

We will miss our neighbor Gus. He loved my son like a nephew. Over the years at the Malibu, I had the opportunity to care for him a lot. During these times we would talk a lot about life. I could still see the light in his eyes, despite the past. He was a very warm, intelligent human being who will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who had the opportunity to know and love Gus.

Mr. Kangles was a world class lawyer. He had his own newspaper. His life experiences were legendary. He was active in politics and he had met Presidents and world leaders . He was knowledgeable in practically every subject. He was an imposing figure, but he was down to earth. He was a Lion when he practiced law, but outside the court room he was a kind and gentle soul. He donated both his time and money to charitable causes. He was a man of his word, and he was a loyal friend. He was a great man who had a heart of gold. He was my Lawyer, and he had a very positive influence in my life as a close friend. I was blessed in having the good fortune of knowing Mr. Kangles.
