Dear Gato Family

I was out of town and just heard the very sad news. I have not seen Connie in many years (15+) but she

sat next to me many years ago at the Chicago Tribune. What fond memories I have of her and the many laughs we shared. Connie had a fabulous sense of humor and a wonderful way with people. Her pride and joy were her children and family. She was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter and colleague and she will be missed by all that knew her. My prayers are with you at this difficult time..

My sincere sympathy to Connie's

children, parents and siblings.I met Connie while at the Suburban Trib.We shared many conversations over those years. When the Sub Trib disolved, we, Sub Trib people, continued to see one another by celebrating each Christmas thereafter with a dinner out in the suburbs. It was delightful. Thank you, Connie, for your friendship.God rest her soul!

Dear Family,

Connie was a dear, sweet & funny person. I worked with her indirectly at the Tribune for a few years. She once made something for my mother for her front door with her talented hands & unique ideas for leftover ribbon & baskets. I'm so sorry for your loss. She will truly be missed, but remembered always in our hearts.

My sympathy,
