Claire Owen Obituary

My dear friend and her family have been on my mind this week. I have been blessed by the presence of the Owen family in my life. May you have peace and love.

To Claire´s family, still keeping you in my prayers. Claire was awesome! Anniversary dates are special, even still difficult, at least for me, I can never forget my mom´s actual date of passing, it was on the 4th of July over 20 years ago. The acute pain does subside and now I mostly reminisce and even laugh at some of her advice and wittiness! Hope you all are well. Her values and compassion are part of you.

Claire is with me, in my heart and on my mind, always. May her family be blessed with peace and comforted by memories of your happy days together.

Remembering Claire and I have faith that she is watching over all of you! We would have coffee at Bagel Art in Evanston after meetings...we each had husbands who were obsessive about their Wall St Journals! We would laugh at how similar they were. And we would discuss faith and prayer. And spiritual growth. Love to you all

I knew Claire from my 20 years of volunteering for Les Turner, after the loss of my sister, Sue. I always enjoyed my interactions with Claire as she was very pleasant and helpful to me and any others who she came in contact with. My condolences to her friends and family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Claire's passing. Cheryl and I enjoyed and respected her so much. As your family holds each other in love and support, know we have all of you in our hearts and prayers. Take care, my friend.

So sorry for your loss Brian and family. I met Claire about 3 years ago and we enjoyed coffee times and learned how much we had in common and would laugh at ourselves! She was deeply spiritual and dedicated to service and, above all, her family! She was a sensitive and caring person. I will miss her and pray for your family. She was so special to me

Claire was one of the first people we met when we started going to Northwestern for my husbands ALS. She was so helpful and compassionate when we were facing the most difficult time in our lives. So sorry for your loss. My husband was a patient at the Les Turner Foundation and we loved Claire. Her compassion and knowledge helped us tremendously, the ALS community has lost a great soul.

Dear Claire,
You are such an amazing person and passing away does not change that. I thank you for your help, guidance, friendship. ALS patients will definitely miss you. I wish people like you never died. We need more of you.

The Les Turner ALS Foundation would not be where it is today without the decades of expertise, empathy and passion of Claire Owen. On behalf of the thousands of families who worked with Claire and in memory of my dear mother, Sally, who Claire helped immensely, we wish her family peace at this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to the family. You can find comfort in knowing, our Heavenly Father has promised we will see our love ones again (Acts 21:15).
