Charles Williams Obituary

Williams, Charles J. "aka Jim, Charlie" 78, of Gold Canyon, AZ, passed away suddenly on October 15, 2011 with complications from COPD. He was born and raised in Chicago on Talman Ave. and was the 13th and last child born from the late Richard and Bertha Williams. Served U.S. Army in Korean War as Op. & intell. Spec., 1st Bn 21st Infantry 1953-55. Retired from CTA Westside Phone Gang as an electrician in 1989 and was a member of IBEW Local 9. After retirement, he and wife, Kay, left Oak Park, IL after raising their children and moved to sunny Arizona! Sadly, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (Kay) Naughton on January 24, 2011 from colon cancer. After 48 years of marriage...he just couldn't live without his Baby! Both were preceded in death by sons: Jim (Jamie Macino) on 2/11/1996 and Michael (Lisa Johnson) on 10/22/1993. Survivors include: daughters: Tracey Hall, Tammy Miceli (Joe), Terri Brown (Doug), Lori Smith (Paul) and son, Terry Haloulos (Barb); 14 grandchildren: Matt, Bree, Shawna, Kelly, Kim, Mike, Tim, Nicole, Serena, Jessica, Michaela, Amanda, Kaya and Mia; 9 great-grandchildren: Shantana, Wyatt, Ryan, Waylon, Avaya, Teigan, Isabella, Charleen, and Isaac; 2 sisters: Gladys Schleder (Len), Connie Rotkis; and 3 brothers: Willie (Marie), Tom (Toni), and Edward (Grace). Siblings that preceded him in death: Charlotte, Richard (Pat), Johnny (Algene), Edna Reed (Tex), Mary McEnaney (Paul), Fredrick, Dorothy Soria (Larry). Viewing is on Monday 10/24 from 6-9pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1130 S. Horne, Mesa, AZ. Funeral Mass is on Tuesday 10/25 10:00am at St. Tim's Catholic Church, 1730 W. Guadalupe Rd, Mesa, AZ, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa, AZ. We love you and we'll miss you! Give Mom Hugs and Kisses from all of us! XOXOs
