Korean War Veteran, beloved husband of Margery (nee Eib), dear father of Debra, Dale, Chris and Alan VanDyke, cherished grandfather of Christopher, Jason, Kevin and Nicole, fond brother of Jack (Donna) and Betty Jean (Ronald) Miller, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation 2 to 9 p.m., Tuesday. Funeral service Wednesday, 10 a.m., at the John Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th St., Palos Heights. Dad, you were always there for me. Besides being my father, you were also my best friend. You were such a wonderful father, and I am so proud of you. I miss you and always will. Know that no son loved you as much as I did.
