Charles Truckenbrodt Obituary

Truckenbrodt, Charles A. "Truck" Age 95, at rest June 26, 2012. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Phyllis Truckenbrodt (nee: Larva) for 72 years; Loving father of Charles D. (Sandra) Truckenbrodt, Phyllis M. (Victor) Prange, Randall (Margaret) Truckenbrodt and Sandra (Richard) Peterson; Cherished grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 9; Fond brother of Robert (Helen), Edward (Violet), Lucille (late Robert) Binkley, Marilyn Flores, Dolph (Candace), and the late Evelyn (late Augie Schmidt and the late Bart Finn); Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. "Truck" was the Superintendent of Plant Engineering at Electo-Motive, Inc. in LaGrange. He retired in 1976 after 40 years of service. He was a proud member of the Golden G.M's and the Electrical Maintenance Engineers. Mr. Truckenbrodt also served as the Elmhurst Police & Fire Commissioner for 17 years (1959-1976). A memorial service will be held on Monday July 2, 2012 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church 200 North Catherine Ave; LaGrange. Private family interment was at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Chicago.
