Charles Reuss Obituary

Charles M. Reuss 1951-2009 WESTFIELD - Charles M. "Charlie" Reuss, 58, a well known 38 year employee for the City of Westfield D.P.W., died Monday in Noble Hospital, Westfield. Charlie was well known for painting stop lines and crosswalks, and repairing street signs around the city and for his hard work ethics. He was a member of the Italian Fraternal Club, the Westfield Sportsman's Club and was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church, all in Westfield. He attended Holy Trinity School and Westfield public schools. He was the son of the late Viola (Sadowski) and Charles E. Reuss. He leaves two aunts, Jessie Organek and Frances Swistak, both of Westfield. His cousins; Susan Jaczyk, Robert Reuss, and Steven Swistak all of Westfield, Cynthia Smith and Stephen Janik of Chicopee, John Organek of Springfield and Frank Janik of Leeds. Charlie also leaves many friends. He will be sadly missed. Visiting hours for Charlie are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Robert E. Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main St., Westfield. Funeral services are private with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Westfield. In Lieu of flowers, Charlie requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Rd., Holyoke, MA 01040 A CUSACK FAMILY SERVICE. 413-562-9343
