WWII Army Veteran, beloved husband of the late Marie (nee Misek), loving father of Linda (Richard) Odenbach, Charles Jr., James (Charlene) and Paul, dear grandfather of Brian (Deborah), David (Kim), Amy (Tony), Jim (Brandy), Casey (Keri), Dorothy (Shaun) and Troy, great-grandfather of 6. Visitation Wednesday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien. Lying in State Thursday, 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Service at Fairview Baptist Home, 250 Village Drive, Downers Grove (67th & Fairview). Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fairview Foundation appreciated. For funeral info: 630-852-3595.
