Mr. Koney was a good friend to my Dad, John, and my Uncle Steve. The friendships were cultivated through baseball and ran deep. Although, as a boy, I only saw him once a year at the Pitch and Hit baseball banquet, Chuck was one of the few that always remembered my name and talked to me.
I last saw Chuck at my Dad's wake a few years ago and I know that it wasn't easy for him to get to Niles from the south side. My Mom was so happy to see him and he made her smile for a few moments. I will never forget this thoughtful, cheerful and friendly man.
My condolences to the family, I'm sure that Chuck will be sorely missed.

I loved Chuck and I do Lorraine. Chuck was one of the kindest and funniest people I have ever met in my life. The first time you meet him, you feel like you have known him forever. He picks you up into his happiness and you could not help but smile when you were around him. He will be deeply missed. Kathryn Levato Seagrove
