Dr. Keenan, served as Principal at Dixon school in 1968. I was a 7th grade student, when he arrived.I graduated in 1969,and never saw him again until the mid 1980's, when I attended a program at Neil School.I had heard about a Principal...who was really great, and loved the children. I received this report, from my nephew...I did not have any idea it was Mr. Keenan.
Well, when I saw him...the first thing that came out of my mouth was..."You are my old Principal"
He chuckled, and with a twinkle in his eye said "No my Dear, I am your former Principal. I may be old, but,I am not your Old Principal."
He had a grace, and sincerity about him that students recognized.
My nephew never again commented favorably on any other educator.
My deepest sympathies to the family of my FORMER Principal.

Dear Joanne,
Brian called this morning with the news of Chuck's death. My sympathy to you, Dave, Maureen and Marilyn. I'm sorry I cannot be with you at this time. Moira gave birth to Declan Charles Stockwell, five weeks early, so I am here in California helping her.
My prayers and thoughts are with you.
