Gartland Jr., Charles J. age 81, Army veteran of WWII. Retired CPD, 34 years. Beloved husband of Alice R. (nee Neumann) and the late Mary, loving father of Charles (Maria), Robert and Colleen (Tom) Manata, dear step-father of Daniel (Mary Kay), Richard and Cissie Kubil, devoted grandfather of Kim, Liam, Kelly and the late Amy Rose, step-grandfather of Tiffany (Brad) Borne, Angela, Lindsay, Katie, Kristy, Kelly, Michael, Daniel, Kiera, Ricky, Ryan, Jake and Samantha, step-great-grandfather of Gavin and Dylan, fond brother of Ronald (late Linda) Marrietta, late Marilyn (late Jim) Evans and the late James Gartland, brother-in-law of Matthew (Mary), Walter (Carol), Daniel (Barbara) and the late Keith (Angie), late Willard (Christine) Neumann and the late Joan (Ernie) Herzog, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Member of F.O.P. and Police Post #207 American Legion. Funeral Wednesday, 9:15 a.m., from the Richard-Midway Funeral Home, 5749 Archer Ave. (corner of Lorel), to Bridgeview Church of God, 7801 W. 71st St., for 10 a.m. Service.
