Charles Curley Obituary

Curley, Charles "Chuck" the son of the late Charley and Rudie Marie Dodd Kerley, was born in Peach Orchard, Arkansas on January 22, 1930, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at the Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Popular Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 73 years, four months and 20 days. Mr. Curley had lived in Bloomfield since 1991 and had lived in Chicago, Illinois for many years. He had worked at Ace Blinds manufacturing window blinds and was a member of the Bernie Christian Church. On June 4, 1962, he was married to Phyllis Hoyne of Chicago, Illinois. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1984. He is survived by one daughter, Rita Charicki of Chicago, Illinois; one son, Garry A. Kerley, Sr. of Chicago, Illinois; one grandson, Garry A. Kerley, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois, one great-grandson, Garry A. Kerley, III of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Charles L. Kerley of Dudley, Missouri; three sisters, Peggy McEnerney of Essex, Missouri, Alberta Shelton of West Memphis, Arkansas, Debbie Harvey of Beach Park, Illinois and one very special friend, Margie Campbell of Bernie, Missouri, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Michelle Charicki; two brothers, Kenneth L. Ragle and Cecil R. Kerly. Friends may call on Sunday, June 15, 2003, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 16, 2003, at 11 a.m., in the Watkins & Sons Chapel, in Dexter, Missouri, with the Rev. Keith Warren of Malden, Missouri, officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the Mount Auburn Memorial Park in Stickney, Illinois.
