Charles Beck Obituary

Beck Sr. MD, Charles A. beloved husband of Ruth, devoted father of Dr. Charles (Judith) Beck Jr. and Helen (Lorin) Brown, cherished grandfather of Dr. Joseph (Dr. Molly Gilbert) Beck, David Brown, Brian Beck and Rebecca Brown, fond uncle of Clifford (Sharon) Hollander and Laura (Richard) Gill. Dr. Beck was very devoted to his patients and to his practices at Michael Reese, Jackson Park and Ingalls Hospitals which spanned well over 60 years. He was a very active and dear volunteer at the Museum of Science and Industry over the past 12 years. Private interment services will take place on Friday, at Waldheim Cemetery. A memorial celebration of his life will take place on Friday, August 22, 2003, 11 a.m., at Chicago-Sinai Congregation, 15 W. Delaware Place, Chicago, 60610. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to either the Museum of Science and Industry, 5700 S. Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, IL, 60637 or to Chicago Sinai Congregation.
