Cecelia Rutkowski Obituary

Cecilia Helen Rutkowski of Goshen, a retired 25-year employee of Orange County Residential Health Care Facility, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Mt. Alverno Center in Warwick, N.Y. She was 69.

The daughter of the late Frank and Eleanor Weslowski Rutkowski she was born October 16, 1937 in Warwick, N.Y.

She was a lifetime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Florida, N.Y. Cecilia enjoyed gardening and canning, especially with her mother and father.

Most recently, she lived at Mt. Alverno Center Assisted Living Program in Warwick and had many loving friends. She was known as the resident "vegetable and garden expert" and was involved in garden projects that were featured in the local newspapers last month.

Survivors include her sister, Caroline Rutkowski Coleman of Florida, N.Y.; 12 nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Teresa Rutkowski Mudrick and Mary Rutkowski Kryznowek.

Friends may call on Thursday, November 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, N.Y.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida, N.Y. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Florida, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mt. Alverno Center, Adult Home and Assisted Living Program, c/o Cecilia H. Rutkowski Memorial, 20 Grand St., Warwick, NY 10990. All donations will be used for gardening projects around the facility.
