I miss you, Boss Lady!

I worked and laughed with Cathy for 5 years at NMFF, DOM. She would always joke about me being exactly 6 weeks older than her, "old lady". Her laugh was contagious. May she rest in peace.

Cathy was a co-worker of mine for years in the Department of Medicine. I just heard of her passing. My deepest sympathy to all the family. She was a very sweet lady and we had a lot of good laughs together. She will be missed around Northwestern.

To Cathy's Family and Friends,
I am so sorry for your loss. I moved to Chicago several years ago and had lost touch with Cathy and was not aware that she had been ill.
I hope the memories you share with eachother will comfort you in your grief. Cathy was so filled with life and joy. Although we haven't worked together in more than five years, I have fond memories of her sense of humor and her intelligence. She was a terrific colleague and so fun to be with.
I am sorry that she had to suffer the pain of this devastating illness and that you are suffering her loss.
May your pain lessen in time,
Rebecca
(I worked with Cathy in the Department of Medicine from 1999 to 2007. She was a pioneer in chart abstraction and had a huge impact on the design and implementation of chart abstraction at Northwestern. She mentored many people in this work and her legacy will live on.)
