I kept thinking about what to say, and two weeks later I’m no more sure of what to write. How do I put into words the pain and the loss I feel from the passing of this beautiful, strong woman? How do I explain what you meant to me? A son could never love a mother more than I have. You were my confidant, my source of strength, and my motivation to achieve goals in my life to make you proud. I will continue to strive to be a better man. You made me a better person and encouraged me to enjoy life, because it goes by so fast. You made countless sacrifices to give me a better life, and in your words “spoiled” me at times (perks of being the youngest, I guess). You supported me and provided me with unconditional love for which I will forever be grateful. Though sometimes it seems I will never get by and my heart will never heal, I am lucky to have family and friends whose outpouring of support reminds me I’m not alone, and that my heart will be protected. I will miss you and love you forever.
