Carol Jean Owen, née Griffin, age 85, of Northbrook. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald; her children, Jeffrey (Stephanie) and Daniel (Laura) Owen; her grandsons, Liam and Jackson Owen; her siblings, Thomas (Kit) Griffin and Margaret Blaney; her sister-in-law, Claudette Griffin; her nieces and nephews, Diane Nathan, Lynda, Steve, Kevin, and Spiff (Shelby) Griffin, Michael (Linda) and Peggy Blaney, and Patricia (Tim) McClelland; and her many grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen "Kathy" Owen; her parents, James and Ethel, née Martin, Griffin; her brother, James Griffin; her sister-in-law, Mary Owen; and her brothers-in-law, James Blaney and Charles Owen. Visitation, Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Family and friends to meet for Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, February 21, at 10 a.m., at St. Catherine Labouré Catholic Church, 3535 Thornwood Ave., Glenview.
