Carol Elliott Obituary

Carol Elliott

Carol Elliott, pianist, keyboardist, vocalist, entertainer, was born on Christmas Eve, 1956, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Carol was the daughter of Amos and Jeannette Elliott. Her life ended on August 12, 2010, at the Evergreen Hospice Care Center, Kirkland, Washington.
She is survived by her mother and four sisters, Linda, Nanette, Kathryn and Laura.
Growing up in Las Vegas she demonstrated exceptional scholastic and musical abilities, playing organ and piano for her church, beginning at the age of 11. Carol majored in music at UNLV and embarked on a career as a musician in the entertainment world of Las Vegas. In the early 80s the tragic fire at the MGM Grand destroyed her keyboard and other equipment, but she persevered, adding to her career the role of Patsy Cline in the Imperial Palace revue, "Legends in Concert." Another highlight was her musical direction of a major show at the Flamingo Hotel. She was a favorite lounge pianist/singer in casinos and hotels, not only in Las Vegas, but in other locations in Nevada, cruise ships on the Caribbean, as well as two invitational appearances at a hotel in Matsumoto, Japan. Carol came to the Puget Sound region in 1994 with her sister, Kathryn. In early 2003 she moved to Snohomish to live at the home of Ted West, where she remained until her death after many months of debilitating illness.
The Elliott family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Theodore West and his family for taking Carol into their home and hearts.
The family suggests donations be made to Evergreen Hospice Services in Kirkland, WA.
Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 17, at Bauer Funeral Chapel, 701 First Street, Snohomish, WA 98290. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, at Bauer Funeral Chapel.

Carol was a great talent. I loved her as a person, as a musician. and as performer/ singer. I just found out about her passing, while searching for her online to find where she might be performing. I am devastated.
We were very close for awhile.
I will always remember her.
If any of her family reads this, I am sad for your loss.

My deepest sympathy for Carol's family and friends. My mother worked for her father and she was my piano teacher when I was young. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her. She was an excellent teacher and loved music! I will always remember her vivacious attitude and loving nature.

Carol and I met on her first show as "Patsy" with Legends in Concert in Reno, NV. in 1987. She was sweet and talented and she loved spending time with her wonderful, loving family. She was a great piano player and a dear friend to me. Although we lost touch over the years, I have only good memories of her and when ever I hear a Patsy Cline song, I will always think of Carol. Today, my thoughts and prayers are with her family. God bless you dear friend, no worries now.

Carol was much loved and taught us all about the unending power of true faith. She lived her live intentionally and with great passion. She was a true and gentle leader and a role model for all. Her light shone brightly. It seemed she was not long for this world. And now she is free and still with us with angelic presence. So thankful to have known her. With love, Lyn
