Carmine Pepe Obituary

Carmine C. Pepe, 89, died Tuesday, May 6, at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton after a long period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Marie (Modestino) Pepe. Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mr. Pepe was a member of the National Guard. He worked as a Freight Conductor for New Haven & New Hartford Railroad and ConRail for many years. He retired many years ago. He was a resident of Stoughton since 1980, previously living in Florida for several years. He was a member of the Trainman's Union. In his free time, he enjoyed building model ships. He is survived by his children: Ann Marie Wanders and her husband David M. of Stoughton and Robert P. Pepe and his wife Hao of Dedham. He was the brother of Ann Schiavo of Randolph, Rita Schiavo, Josephine Garrabrant, Louise Cabral and Regina Milani all of FL and the late Mary Milani, Madeline Milani, Edward Milani, John Milani and Sonny Milani. He was the grandfather of David M. Wanders, Jr., Shelly Cardis, Christopher Brandsma, Thao X. Do, Thao N. Do and the late Dianne Wanders. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, May 10 at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Donations in his memory may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery, Boston.
