Carlos Infante Obituary

I just found out the other day that Carlos passed and I at first was shocked then sad. My older sister, Julie, and I grew up with Carlos. Julie and Carlos dated and I was the third wheel, but both of them did not mind-we were only 14 ;). We saw him and his best buddy Peter just about every single day for years. The stories and fun we had is endless and he was a big part of my childhood.

I still remember the letters he wrote to me when he was in the army. I advised him not to join! I was 17 living with my grandmother and we came up with a plan. I am glad it all turned out but I still laugh at how, well... "not so bright" we are as kids growing up in the neighborhood. Even though he and my sister were an "item" ;) - he treated me like a sister and always treated me with kindness, always.

I last saw him when I was 21 and then lost touch after I graduated college. I would think from him time to time. He was always kind, honest and sensitive to others. I am so sorry for his family. His wife was blessed to have Carlos as a husband and I know he must have been a wonderful dad. Carlos, I am so sorry that you suffered and passed, so sorry. Dear Jonee, Ava and the entire Infante Family,

I am so very sorry for your loss and am thinking of you all with a heavy heart during this sad time.

Carlos cleary had a great love for all of you and a real desire to be here for his wife and daughter. He worked hard to squeeze in as much living as he possibly could in the face of a very difficult illness.

He was a wonderful example to me of just how precious life is and how important it is to embrace every moment we have with those we love.

Jonee, I am only a phone call away and would be happy to visit with you when the dust settles. You are a wonderful mom and your devotion to Carlos was a beautiful thing to see.

I thank you, Jonee, Carlos and Ava for the opportunity to know you and work with you during this sad and difficult time.

I played with Carlos, Neil, and Mark on the Hitmen softball team. I wanted to give my deepest condolences to the entire Infante family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I don't know Carlos personally,but I attended the Ella Flagg Young Elementary with his brother Neil(Class of 1984) and his brother,Mark was in the same grade as my brother,Philip. I've just heard of Carlos' passing by chance via Chicago Tribune's obituary section.My deepest condolences to the Infante family. May god bless you all!
