Carbon Lankford Obituary

Lankford Carbon Earl Lankford, age 67, of St. Augustine, FL, previously of Zanesville, OH, passed away on May 22, 2016 at his home in Florida. The Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 3 p.m. EST until 6 p.m. EST at St John's Lutheran Church located at 6575 Center Rd., Roseville, OH 43777. Carbon Earl (most often known as Earl) was born in Vincennes, IN to Carbon and Betty Lankford on April 9, 1949. He graduated from Wabash High School and was proud to serve in the United States Navy during the years of Vietnam. He then worked for Metal Container Corporation, a division of Anheuser Busch, until he retired after 30 years of service. He was active in his church and in speaking for the needs of our Veterans. Carbon Earl is survived by his wife, Lou Lankford; his two children, Tina Shakour (Lankford) and Greg Lankford; his brothers, Doug Lankford and Brad Lankford; his sister, Karen Shearer (Lankford); his mother, Betty Lou Tisdale Lankford Lucas; his 11 grandchildren, four great-grand children; his step-daughters, Shirley Anglemyer, Patricia Jimerson. In lieu of flowers, his family asks donations be made to the Naval Relief Fund in his memory.
