Joyce, Steve, Joy, Frank, Mike,David, Ken, Lucy, Angela - when mother called me Sunday night, I just cried. I had seen Ken briefly when I was in town last Monday, and even though he hinted that Dr. Steve wasn't doing very well, Mother's call caught me off guard. I still consider all of you to be my extended family. Steve was a comforter to me as a physician - and a hero as a father and grandfather! Even tho' I've been away from "home" for seven years, I can see Joyce and Steve sitting at the Dairy Queen as tho' it were yesterday - a memory to treasure! Do you remember when Dr. Steve operated on me the night before a baseball game, taped my back cheeks shut , and told me to play that next day. You guys came to the game, and I told him " Dr. Steve, I am not sure I can run very good with your tape job", and his response was, "You can't get that much slower!!" We are thinking of you and the family, I will always remember Dr. Steve's wit. Take Care
