Love you Byron and miss you everyday

Prayers and love on your first anniversary, Byron. May this new year bless Laura, Peter, Andy, and all of your family, keep them safe, and give them peace.

My condolences to Byrons family and friends. He was my first cousin and I might have only met him once when I was very young. My daughter and I discovered his obituary while doing genealogy research. We had hoped to contact Byron for any information he might have regarding our great grandparents.

There is no words I can say to Laura or the family outside that Byron was a very important man to me. My favorite memory that I have of Byron is when we took my new Mustang out racing on the Dan Ryan Expwy. He loved it and still could handle a stick and clutch. I asked him were Laura was and he said "Italy" and lets go and got behind the wheel. I never had such a great time. I would call him and he would always ask me "what are you driving?" I still have that Mustang and when I drive it I will always remember the Dan Ryan.

I'm everything I am because you loved me. While I struggle to let go so that you can rest in peace I will always hold you in that special place you opened up in my heart that let in the light and love that saved my life. Thank you for my family. I am relieved that you are out of pain and free to have all the peace and joy possible. Save a place for me at your side where I was at my best. You are the love of my life and I cherish every adventure we shared. We will always be together in my heart and soul. Yours forever, Lolo

Twelve years ago today, Byron was a hero to my brother and dad who were both being treated at NIH and helplessly stuck in DC. Byron was in DC too and he made sure they were safe and able to get home before he got out because that's the kind of man he was. He was never too busy to help people in need. I can't imagine how many countless times Byron offered his help to others in private and without fanfare. But I know it is a legacy that will give his family some comfort during the tough times. Their Byron was truly a hero to so many. Thank you for everything, Byron. Rest in peace.

My dad always said Byron would handle it. No matter what. Byron was always there for him, and me, and I'm sure others as well. "What's doing?" Byron would ask, always making the time to be there. I grieve with you all and I am saddened that he has left, my heart goes out to Laura and his family and all he loved so well.
