A remembrance of a good and with a wealth of knowledge, experience advice and humor. Irene and the rest of the family will bear a tremendous loss. But they will share a multitude of memories, stories, and advice passed on to them by this unforgettable man. For my part, I was fortunate enough to have been involved with Bert in numerous projects during numerous years. We have always had a 50-50 partnership with never a serious disagreement. Not to say we never disagreed, I recall one very spirited discussion concerning whose dog was the smartest. As usual I lost. According to Bert that sheepdog graduated at the top of his class from MIT. One other time Bert and I had sold a piece of property in mesquite, the purchaser had come to my office to plead for an extension of time because he was not able to meet the required contractual payment. For some reason Bert was not available so I granted the extension unilaterally. When Bert found out about it he was not happy. He wanted to know why I had done anything so foolish. I then informed Bert that while it was true I had granted a short extension I had also raised the purchase price by a hundred thousand dollars. Berts comment was In that case I guess its okay, Bert was an honest man, a great advisor who could tell a great story. He will be sorely missed, never forgotten and never replaced. To Duane and the entire Scheck Family,

I want to offer my heartfelt condolences to you all. I only met Mr Scheck once, but I remember how Duane so adored both his parents.
May you all find comfort in a lifetime of family memories.

Im so very sorry for your loss Irene.I only met Burt And Irene once at Robert Rains 2016 Christmas Party in Las Vegas so glad I had the pleasure of celebrating the holiday with the Sheck's let me tell you you two were the life of the party.... Prayers.
