I met Burt when he was responsible for the youth services when I was a freshman in high school in 1957. We bonded then. And we had the good fortune to see each other again at TUMC fifty years later. He will always be missed. - Patrick Dale McCray

So many years of selfless encouragement to all of us. Cannot quantity the benefits, just too great. Thanks so much for a life so well lived which held us up and propelled us toward the good. To both Burt and Mariann a big smile filled with joy. John and Mary

Dear Mariann, David, Paul, and family, What a treasure your friendship has been over the years! Burt and Charlie, as well as other good friends have held fond memories of Garrett Seminary days and beyond. Burt was an usher in Charlie's and my 1954 wedding. Wonderful friendships last and deepen through the years, and that's been true of you and Burt...almost 70 years now. What a blessing your family has been to ours. May God forever hold all of you in His comforting arms. Love and blessings, Peggy Ferrell

My husband, Otto, was a seminary classmate with Burt and the four of us have been friends since the early 1950ies. We went camping with our children for a 2 week trip which was great! We have kept in touch for 70 years and greatly treasure our friendship. Burt was a really "good" guy and a blessing to all who knew him. Many people can attest to what a great influence he has been to them during their lives. He will be missed by so many! Carolyn Steinhaus (now in Missouri)
