Bruce, Bonita, and family:
ALthough we have not talked in a long time, you have all been in my prayers. I was saddened at hearing of the loss of Bryan. I know that the love of a parent is the strongest love there is and this loss must be overwhelming. I wish that I could have been there for you and the family and hope that you will call if there is anything that you need or that I can do to help. My deepest sympathies.

dear mr and mrs paynter, brett, jenny, and family and friends,

it's been a few more days for me to process now and though i am still down in spirits, i know that bryan lives on quite vividly in our memories.

my friend forwarded me an email, about a 6 year old explaining why dogs don't live as long as humans. "people are born so they can learn how to live a good life - like how to love people and stuff right? dogs already know how to do that so they don't have to stay as long." bryan loved you guys well i'm sure. he will be missed sorely. he lived a good life though, definitely lived it to the max and did more than some of us will ever get to!

indeed, every breath we are able to take is a gift from God above. "Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should." Psalms 90:12

much love,
Jessica Deng (GBS/NU classmate)

To the family and wife of Bryan;
While there is nothing I can say to make any of you feel any better during this time of grief there seem to be so much that needs to be said. Let me thank you all for the opportunity and privilege of attending Bryan & Jenny's wedding and for allowing me to assist in his Eagle Scout ceremony. It was an honor knowing Bryan and working with him on his Eagle Project. Young men like Bryan are the reason so many volunteers do what they do; for an opportunity to work with the worlds next leaders. Your loss will be felt in areas we can't even imagine, by people who never met Bryan. He was a motivating person who has passed on strengths and characteristics to each of you that will help you through these trying times. I will think of Bryan often; both above water and below as he now truly "soars with the Eagles".

My Deepest Sympathy,

Karen Larson

I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan his Freshman Year of High School. It was my first experience coaching Football and he was my starting Quarterback. The thing I remember most about Bryan was his won't quit attitude, and genuine care for others. I always looked forward to seeing Bryan at practice. I know he touched the lives of a lot of people here at GBS, especially myself. I even recall seeing him and his family in Black River Falls Wisconsin at a Perkin's (of all places). What a wonderful young man, and a wonderful family. My thoughts and Prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
