Twenty plus years later. Bruce remains in my thoughts daily. Truly a kind, special man. He would often leave whopping tips for street musicians/performers to encourage them. He was a force for good and I miss him.

Although I didn't know Bruce that well I always enjoyed his visits to the store. We would talk about the Cubs and he would tell stories of past times with the Rockford Cubbies, and who had passed through his teams in the years he was there.Being a die hard Cubs fan I will miss the talks about the Cubs and weather the Cubs or Sox would due better in the coming season. My thoughts and prayers are with your family,God Bless

To Mrs. Keiter, Nicole, Brittany and family,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I am not sure if you remember me, but I used to teach private flute lessons to Nicole at your home maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I remember talking to Mr. Keiter at that time about getting Nicole a new flute. He told me about his musical background and his love for music. I remember him being very caring and supportive of Nicole and her musical interests. Mrs. Byte informed me of the sad news. Please know that your are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We'll miss Bruce. He was my golfing buddy, my husband's friend, and a kind neighbor for my daughters. He gave his gift of music to Nicole, his gift of sports to Brittany. He loved his wife, Barbara, and his family. He threw the best celebrations of anyone I've ever met, enjoying the process of planning a celebration - big or small - and enjoying including lots of people in the celebration.
He was a kind man, a gentleman in the truest sense of the word, and so much fun to be with. He will be remembered by our family, aways.
With love,
Judy, Shawn, Erin & Morgan

First off, my family and I give our dearest condolences for the Keiter family. Mr. Keiter was like a second father to me. I remember going to the Keiter's house almost every Tuesday for almost two years because of the extra curricular activities Nicole and I would do. I was always treated so well and like family and that meant a lot to me.
Mr. Keiter believed in Nicole and I in our crazy days in high school when we wanted to become popstars. His love for music, like Nicole, was very passionate. Anytime I saw Mr. Keiter he always looked so happy and full of life and man did he love those Chicago Cubs! He also loved his family very dearly as they loved him. I know this is hard for the Keiter family because it's really hard for me too but I am there for you guys to help you get through these tough times.
My grandma tried to battle cancer, like Mr. Keiter, but lost the battle and didn't make it. The Keiter's were there for me and likewise I'm always there for you guys whenever you need me. Although death is hard, man do I know how hard it is, Mr. Keiter is up there with my grandma watching over us in heaven.
Mr. Keiter, I love you dearly and you will always be in my heart and remembered forever. Rest in peace.
Love always,
Nicole Kiolbasa
