Chris,

I wanted to express our heartfelt sympathy for the recent passing of your father.

From what I read, his life was blessed with a loving family, wonderful friends and respectful work colleagues. Still, his life of 70 years was too short.

In the Orthodox Church, we have memorials services for those who have died in Christ, forty days after and then again on the anniversary date each year. Prayers are offered and hymns are sung, one which contains the refrain, "may his memory be eternal" concerning the departed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Ann, your children, and the entire Johnson family during this difficult time.

May his memory be eternal!

Sincerely,

Rose Martin
