Dearest Sherry and family, I am so sorry.Bruce and all of you are tremendously good people. I couldn't have ( and didn't ) ask to be blessed with such great friends. All the holiday dinners, dances, picnics, Akron trips, and just regular fellowships will never be forgotten. Love and prayers, Sue N.

Bruce was one of the kindest, most generous people that I have ever met. He extended his hand to friend or stranger, always willing to help. I will always remember him from wednesday nights. He was fun to be with, but always had that quiet strength that was always present. He has made us all become better people and I will miss him. Sherri, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry for your loss. Bruce was a good, good man. He reached out to be and was available to help when a friend was struggling with a drinking problem. Always followed up, offered to do more. Worked with him for 15 years or so at VWR. I'll miss him and his sly sense of humor.

My heart breaks. I knew Bruce since we were kids, kindergarten at Gunsaulus all the way thru graduation, the courtyard, the White Sox and have kept in touch thru the years casually. We just had a little reunion with him, his sister Kelly & my sister Dawn who grew up as best friends. I am saddened and shocked. He was always the happiest guy in the world & I do know for a fact he was #1 Mr. White Sox fan himself. I worked at the park for 13 yrs and would see him year after year, cheering on our team. I always looked forward to seeing his smiling face and the big bear hug that came along with it and it would feel like just yesterday we saw each other last. I am just blown away and sometimes can't understand God's plan but I do know he will be so very missed and was loved by me, Dawn, my family and many many others who's life he touched. Words can't say how I feel and I am overwhelmed with grief trying to understand why 'the good guys'. My ultimate sorrow to Kelly and Bruce's wife Sherri and his whole family. At least he will be in good company, my angel my sister Debbie who was also taken away way too early and also a friend of Bill W, she will show him the way. Words are NOT enough to say what he has meant. My deepest sympathy with love and saddness.

A saying I think Bruce would have liked which I feel was so true of his life is as follows:

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely, and in a well preserved body, but rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, root beer in the other, totally worn out, shouting, "Holy Cow ... What a Ride!!!!! " :)

The world is a bit sadder with the passing of Bruce. He could always bring a smile to anyones face. Bruce is a unique man and one that has touched the lives of so many. My life has been enriched because I know Bruce. He is loved by so many and will be missed each and every day. My thoughts and prayers are with Sherri and his family.

My heart and thoughts go out to Sherri and Bruce's family, as well as to the friends that were there on Sunday night. The world will be a little less kinder without him. My memories reflect upon Bruce's contagious smile, as well as his intensity when retelling a favorite story. My heart is heavy while the gratitude overwhelming for having known him. You made the world a better place Bruce and I will miss you immensely...Love, Cindy
