Brian was my neighbor on Kelly rd in Lake Geneva. He was always friendly and energetic and helped me tremendously in my darkest days of divorce. I just heard of his passing. I will never forget him.

Judge Crowe was my mom's boss for many years - Diane Coyne. He just stepped down from the bench to make more money as a lawyer to put his children through college when my mom started working for him. I clerked for him one summer in college and he was the nicest guy - a good role model for a young person to emulate in life. I wish his family the best.

Brian was a great judge and a good role model. As a judge, I watched his ability to be fair and just. He treated everybody with dignity and respect. Outside of the courtroom,he was always generous with his time as a teacher and mentor. He will be missed andleaves behind a legacy they cannot be equaled.

Met Brian many years ago on the Chicago Police Board. I sometimes gave him a ride home after the meetings. He told me stories about his german shepherd. I was impressed with his down to earth demeanor and his knowledge about many subjects. We stayed in touch for a number of years and just read about his passing. It shocked me because just recently I was thinking about him and how he was. My sincerest condolences to the Crowe family and may you rest in peace my friend.

It is with a sad heart that I send my deepest sympathies to Zylpha, her children and extended family on their loss. I first met Brian fifty years ago when my then five year old daughter was seriously injured in a car accident. Brian became a good friend to me and my late husband, Mike Striegl. Whenever I called Brian, he responded. In later years, I worked at Ravenswood Hospital with Brian when he was a member of the hospital’s Board of Directors. Occasionally, over the years, we would run into Brian and Zylpha at Mars in Lake Geneva. Such good memories.... of a man whose life was well lived. You will all be in my prayers. Milli Striegl

I had the privilege to know Judge Crowe and work with as a court clerk at the Daley center in Chicago. He was one of the best Judges I have ever met but most of all he was genuine , honest , and real personable.
He also was a colleague of my Late Brother Judge Micheal Howlett Jr who also thought very highly of Judge Crowe. May eternal rest granted unto him and perpetual light shine on upon him.

My memory of Brian was every Friday evening he would get off the El train at Rockwell and stop in to oLuckys Pizzeria where I worked as a teen he would grab a beef sandwich go across the street for a quick beer before heading home around the corner on Eastwood He always stood and talked for a while and taught me some important things I’ve passed on to my children. Rest In Peace

I did not know him personally, but I saw him do a lengthy closing argument years ago. He was brilliant, articulate, upright, and honorable. He never missed a beat in well over an hour, and never even looked at a note. He was the best ever. His family should be very proud of his legacy, and may his memory be eternal.
