Brett and I became friends after high school. We bonded over the common way we saw and thought about the universe. He supported and encouraged me in my creative endeavors and wanted to be a part of them. He is a person I knew a little in high school, but we found each other as friends soon after. There was so much to love about Brett. So much to miss.

I am sending my deepest condolences and my love and support always.

Brett (Mr. Heneghan as I called him) was a student in my class this past spring. He was always engaged in our topics, often offering insight from his personal experiences. He would often stay a few minutes after class where we would discuss not-so-pleasant things like migraines, or better and happier things like family. He was so happy with his new marriage and the impending birth of his first child. I am deeply saddened by his passing; however, I take comfort in the mark he made on this world with his love for 'Tina' and 'Quinn.'

God bless you Brett. We all love you
