Bonnie Shaw-Hanif Obituary

Shaw-Hanif, Bonnie 65, died quietly and calmly in her sleep on Wednesday after a long bout with lung cancer. Bonnie is survived by her dear husband, Haji Hanif, by her loving siblings Marcy (Ronald) Novit and Henry (Sandra) Kite, by her very caring Uncle Maury and Aunt Marilyn Kaplan, and by her wonderful nephews, Edward (Marilyn) and Jerry Novit. Bonnie was a friend to most people who had the good fortune to meet her. She was a "flower child" of the sixties, and with her first husband, the late Peter Shaw, was a real activist for world peace during the tumultuous seventies. Bonnie found true spiritual peace in the latter years of her life and viewed her final illness as just another step in life's journey. We will all miss Bonnie very much and remember her always with love. Private services are planned.
