Billy Levens Obituary


Hartselle

Funeral for Billy G. “Bill” Levens, 74, of Hartselle will be Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating.
Burial will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Levens, who died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Hartselle Medical Center, was born May 23, 1933, in Marshall County to George W. Levens and Julia M. Ogle Levens. He was a Baptist, a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a very kindhearted man.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Lawrence Levens; a brother, Joe Ben Levens of Little Rock, Ark.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Driver, Mitchell Driver, Gary Hawkins, Butch Dixon, Zachary Sparkman, Josh Driver, Steven Gear and Thomas Gear.

I recall assisting Bill at SouthTrust Bank many times. He was always very kind and seemed to appreciate all I did for him. I will be remembering you during these days.
