Memories and Condolences

Not sure what to say?

December 25, 2007

Kevin, Tom, Judy, Phillip

I just learned of your mother's passing. Billie was like an aunt to me as we grew up on 85th St. Your mom was always kind and I never heard her raise her voice. There were plenty of times she could have with the mischeive we all raised. I will say a prayer for her and am lucky to have known her. My sympathy to you all.

We were so sorry to hear of your moms death. Mrs Coffey is just part of my vocabulary when we reminisce about 85th Street. I will always be grateful for the friendship she had with my mom. You will all be remembered in my Mass on Thanksgiving. The loss of one we love so much is very difficult but you were so lucky to have your mom as long as you did. Sincerely,

Tom and Mary McKee

What does one say about such a special lady. The memories of Mrs. Coffey will forever be near and dear to my heart. The friendship she showed to my mom and all of us on 85th street will never be forgotten. Her laugh was special and her smile vibrant. I am sad to miss the services as I am unable to attend. My heart goes out to all of you during this difficult but truly joyous time as I know that Billie and John and Anne and Bob are enjoying the backyard of heaven tipping a Manhatten or two!
If I can do anything for you please do not hesitate to contact me. love you all. msk

It was sad to hear that Mrs. Coffey passed away. I still have GREAT memories of growing up on 85th street and Tommy Moore parish. Mrs. Coffee would take us to the Museum of Science & Industry every summer and also take us often to swim at 50th on the Lake motel!!! Living on 85th st. and next door to the Coffey's was a SPECIAL experience that will never be duplicated. Mrs. Coffey was a FANTASTIC Mom, wife, Grand Mother and nieghbor. She was always HAPPY. Phil, Tom, Kevin, Judy & Barry ... I am so sorry for your family's loss.
