Beverly Caulfield Obituary

Caulfield, Beverly G. 75, of Janesville, WI, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center, Fitchburg, WI. Beverly Jeanne Gould was born on July 22, 1931, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Jeanne and Fred Gould. She graduated from Waterloo High School in 1948. She attended Iowa State University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Journalism in 1953. She married L. Thomas Caulfield, whom she met at ISU, on August 29, 1953. Her career in Journalism included writing the Better Homes and Gardens Junior Cookbook for Meredith Publishing in Des Moines and editing the computer publication Systems User in Janesville from 1980 to 1990. She was a member of numerous civic organizations including the League of Women Voters, the Bower City Garden club and the Lake Geneva Garden Club. She is survived by her husband, Tom, three children, Kevin of Minneapolis, MN, Sean (Judith) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Megan of Chicago, IL, three sisters, Betty Jo Bjorklund of Breckenridge, CO, Mickey McKinney (Leonard) of Dallas, TX, Sherry (Carl) Nilsson of Breckenridge, two cousins, Steve (Mary) and Sterling Silver of Hazelton, IA. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2006, at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, December 18th, at Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church, 8605 E. County Rd. A, Janesville. Rev. Dee Talley will officiate. Burial will be in Johnstown Center Cemetery. Assisting with arrangements is Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 608-741-1713.
